I read with interest Rupert Kaye’s letter (Brit. Birds 114: 178) on the validity of the photograph of a supposed Lady Amherst’s Pheasant Chrysolophus amherstiae in Norfolk (Brit. Birds 114: 4), and agree with him that the bird is of hybrid origin.
